About the Piece:
Featured in the 1985 Ercol catalogue, this “lounge table” was released as part of the Saville range, the newest addition to Ercol’s furniture ranges. It is made from Ash, the latest addition to Ercol’s chosen timbers at that time.
The Saville and Ash combination represented further exploration of the Ercol philosophy and promised the same quality of timelessness that is Ercol’s most distinctive hallmark.
This beautiful vintage coffee table comes with two bevelled-edge smoked glass panes which are easily removable. It has been sympathetically restored and still shows the original Ercol stamp on the underside of the table. There are some light scratches to the glass panes, as expected with a piece of furniture this age, but they do not detract at all from the visual aspect of the table.
