Vintage Toni Raymond Cat String Holder Dispenser 1950s/60s Pottery

This is a delightful vintage hand-painted ceramic cat string holder or dispenser, made by Toni Raymond Pottery in England. Dating back to the 1950s or 1960s, this charming piece features a black/grey cat with pink ears and nose, wearing a distinctive orange bow tie. Designed to be wall-mounted, this piece would hold a small ball of string in the back, which would then be dispensed through a small hole just below the cat’s nose. The bow tie also has a hole designed to hold a small pair of scissors for cutting the string or twine (scissors not included). The maker’s mark is stamped on the back. This quirky and functional piece is a wonderful example of mid-century pottery and a perfect addition for any cat lover or vintage kitchen enthusiast.
