About the Piece:
The Sierra style was a bit of a throwback for G-Plan after their Danish style in the 1960s. Bridging the gap between Kofod-Larsen and the 1970’s Fresco range, Sierra has a touch of the 1950s Brandon style to it and it has become quite rare to find.
A stunning original vintage G-Plan teak bookcase/cabinet from the Sierra range. This beautiful mid-century unit is a versatile piece of furniture that could be used as a bookcase, display unit or bar/drinks cabinet.
Fitted with 30cm solid steel hairpin legs, it’s a very stylish piece with 2 adjustable shelves to the top section and a drop-down cabinet to the lower section. This contains the less common bureau addition, which is removable and adjustable. The inner backing of the unit has been modernised with an African inspired grey and white elephant self-adhesive wallpaper. G Plan Label is present at the top of the cabinet.
Excellent used condition, it’s been fully cleaned with wire wool & re-oiled. There’s just some slight discolouration & minor marks on the top of the unit, but overall it looks great!
