Antique Minton Victorian Tiles, 1891 Floral Transferware, Set of 5, Yellow

A beautiful set of five original antique tiles by the renowned Minton’s China Works of Stoke on Trent. Dating to 1891, these tiles are a superb example of late Victorian design, featuring an elegant and classic floral transferware pattern in warm yellow and brown hues on a cream background. This particular pattern (No. 2565) was registered in 1891, making these genuine architectural pieces from the era. These stunning tiles are perfect for incorporating into a modern interior, offering a unique touch of history and character.

• Clearly marked on the reverse with “MINTONS CHINA WORKS STOKE ON TRENT”, the design registration number for 1891 (Rd No 174956), and the pattern number (No. 2565).

Condition: Good antique condition. These are original, reclaimed architectural tiles and show authentic signs of their age and history. There are nibbles and small chips to some corners and edges, as is common with salvaged tiles. The surfaces show some light scratches and areas of crazing to the glaze, which only enhances their antique character. The backs and sides have remnants of old mortar and some discolouration from previous installation. Please view all photos closely as they form a key part of the description.
