About the Project
Winnie reached out to us as she had seen a dressing table we had sold and wanted to commission something similar to put in her bedroom.
We had the perfect dressing table in our workshop, it just needed a little TLC!
Creating the Design
When discussing the potential colours for the dressing table with Winnie, our starting point was the existing colour palette of her bedroom. Her walls are painted with House Beautiful Think Pink (a deep dusty pink) and the cupboards are painted with Dulux Natural Slate (a dark grey).
Immediately, my mind went to a deep, forest green for the dressing table. Our client wanted something lighter and brighter, so after mood-boarding various shades of green, she chose Eau de Nil from Guild Lane.
Having settled on the paint colour, we mood-boarded multiple options for wallpaper and the one that caught her eye was the beautiful Waterlily in Blush from Clarke & Clarke.
Seeing the two together in person, they couldn’t have matched more perfectly! They are made for each other!
Our client loved the gorgeous wood grain on top of the dressing table just as much as we did, so a very important part of our process was refinishing that and restoring it to its natural beauty.
The Pink and Green Bedroom Set
I would go so far as to say that this is our favourite dressing table set we have created to date!
