Vintage Poole Pottery Seal Figurine, Blue Dolphin Glaze, 1970s Sea Lion Ornament

A truly charming vintage Poole Pottery sea lion figurine, resplendent in the iconic and collectible “Blue Dolphin” glaze. This delightful piece captures the playful essence of marine life and is a wonderful example of classic English ceramic design from the renowned Poole Pottery.

Features: This charming piece, often referred to as a seal or sea lion, was designed by Tony Morris and produced as part of the popular Poole Animals collection. The figurine is hand-cast from English earthenware and coated in the beautiful, layered “Blue Dolphin” reactive glaze, which gives it a vibrant, sea-blue finish with wonderful depth. The expressive pose, with its head raised, brings the character of the animal to life. It features the “Poole England” stamp on the base.

Measurements (Approximate):

• Height: 11cm (4.3 inches)
• Base Width: 9cm (3.5 inches)

Condition: Good vintage condition. The glaze is bright and lustrous with no crazing. There is one minor chip on the very edge of the unglazed base, which is only visible when the item is turned upside down. It does not detract from the display or overall look of the piece.
