This charming small vintage character jug, produced by Lancaster & Sandland at the Dresden Works, Hanley, circa 1949 onwards, depicts the popular character Tony Weller. This delightful piece is a classic example of a Toby Jug, featuring a jovial character with a distinctive brown hat, grey hair, a green jacket, and a yellow cravat. This hand-painted jug is a wonderful piece of British pottery history, perfect for collectors of Toby Jugs, character mugs, or vintage ceramics.
