Vintage Japanese Cobalt Blue Vase & Dish Pheasant Floral Chokin Style

This is a beautiful vintage Japanese set comprising a small bud vase and a matching trinket dish, both hand-decorated in a style reminiscent of Chokin metalwork (though this set is ceramic). Both pieces are a rich cobalt blue with remnants of gold rimming. The vase features a hand-painted design of a pair of pheasants amidst a floral motif. The square trinket dish is decorated with a charming scene of a handcart overflowing with colourful flowers in green, red, white, yellow, and blue, all outlined in gold. These pieces would make a lovely addition to a collection of Japanese ceramics or as decorative accents in various rooms.
