Pair of Rare Wedgwood Pearlware “Vine” Side Plates – c. 1884

Add a touch of history to your table with this rare pair of Wedgwood pearlware side plates. Dating back to 1884, these antique plates feature a beautiful blue and white vine pattern with a delicate floral centrepiece and gold edging. A wonderful addition to any collection of Wedgwood or antique ceramics.

• Marked with the Wedgwood back stamp and date code “ZVM” for 1884

• Diameter: 17.75cm (approximately 7 inches)

Condition:

These antique plates show signs of wear consistent with their age, adding to their character and history. There are some imperfections in the glaze and some wear to the gold edging. The back of one plate has some staining. Please see the photos for details of the condition.

A Note About Wedgwood Pearlware:

Pearlware was a type of ceramic produced by Wedgwood from the late 18th to the mid-19th century. It was known for its slightly bluish-white glaze, which gave it a pearly appearance. These plates are a beautiful example of Wedgwood pearlware, showcasing the intricate designs and craftsmanship of the era.
