Description
This vintage tallboy cupboard with drawers was originally manufactured by the English company Beeanese Furniture in the 1960s. The original label and British Standard mark dated 1960 confirming its age and maker are still present on the inner top cupboard.
Get ready to add some colourful African style to your space and what could be more stunning than this gorgeous African Lady decoupage paper?!
The exterior has been hand-painted using a Cornish Milk Mineral Paint in the shades Thrift and Cornish Honey, and Harmony Paints in the shade Terracotta to give it a blended, textured finish. Metallic gold paint has been randomly added over the top to give it a subtle sheen in certain lights. A black metallic leaf has been added to her hair, which again subtly reflects the light. The cupboard and drawer edges have been finished with gold gilding wax.
Black hairpin legs and simple brass knobs have been added to compliment the design of the piece.
This vintage wooden linen cupboard comes with a removable shelf in the cupboard and two drawers, all of which have been lined with burnt orange wallpaper embossed with gold ostriches.
The exterior has been finished with furniture wax to protect the finish and make it more durable.
This amazing piece of vintage furniture is certainly a statement piece that you will not find on the High Street. This is truly a one-off that will look magnificent in any setting!

FINAL NOTE
All my work is refinished with care and attention to detail using good quality materials and furniture paints. I source quality pieces of furniture and bring them back to life in unique and creative ways.
As with all pre-loved furniture, they may show evidence of their past life with the occasional dent or imperfection. Major imperfections are always addressed and repaired to a high standard, but I believe small marks tell the story of the piece’s history and add to its charm. As this item is hand-painted and hand-finished, it may also show faint brush marks, imperfections and texture, which I hope you agree adds to the uniqueness and character of the piece. Please also note that due to lighting, colours may vary slightly from those in the photos. Please kindly keep this in mind during your purchase.
I’ve provided as much information as I can, but do get in touch with me if you have any further questions about this lovely vintage piece.
