Orrefors Orion Crystal Bowl, Lars Hellsten Signed 80s Swedish Glass Votive Holder

A stunning example of Scandinavian modernist design, this ‘Orion’ crystal bowl was designed by the celebrated Lars Hellsten for the renowned Swedish glassworks, Orrefors. Created in the 1980s, this piece perfectly captures the era’s bold yet elegant aesthetic. The heavy, lustrous crystal is sculpted into a dramatic six-lobed starburst form that brilliantly catches and refracts light, creating a dazzling prism effect. Its substantial weight and flawless clarity give it the appearance of sculptural ice or water frozen in motion. This versatile piece functions beautifully as a decorative bowl or a large, ambient votive or tealight holder.

Condition: Excellent vintage condition, retaining its original Orrefors sticker. The crystal is bright and clear with a wonderful lustre. There are some minor, light surface scratches to the body and base, consistent with its age and gentle use. The base has three felt pads applied by a previous owner to protect surfaces.
