Antique Victorian Platter, 1868 T.G. Booth Ironstone, Neoclassical Vase Pattern

A stunning example of Victorian pottery, this exquisite ironstone serving platter was made by Thomas Gimbert Booth and is dated with a registration mark to the 14th of September, 1868. The piece features the highly collectable “Vase” pattern, a beautiful and intricate black transferware design that has been meticulously hand-painted with vibrant enamel colours. The Neoclassical style, with its elegant urns, cherubs, and palmette border, makes this a truly timeless piece of English ceramic history.

Condition: Excellent antique condition. The platter shows some fine, clean crazing across the surface, which is characteristic and expected for ironstone of this age. There are some minor signs of wear to the glaze and light surface scratches consistent with its 150+ year history. There are no chips or cracks. This piece displays beautifully.
