This charming French vintage door plate, also known as a finger plate or push plate, is designed to be fitted to either side of a door. It features bevelled glass with a decorative scalloped edge border. These plates were traditionally used to protect doors from fingerprints and wear around the handle area. With their Venetian mirror-like appearance, they could also be Italian in origin, but the style strongly suggests French. This piece would be an ideal gift for anyone with a love of vintage décor or a perfect prop for a period production. The plate has pre-drilled fixing holes, so you’ll just need suitable screws for installation.

Condition:
This vintage mirrored door plate is in good vintage condition. There are some brown spots on the mirror glaze and some wear to the silvering on the back. There are also some small “flea bite” chips around the edges. Please refer to the photos for a detailed view of the condition.
