Rare Portmeirion “Birds of Britain” Teapot – Hoopoe & Roller

Add a touch of avian charm to your tea time with this rare Portmeirion “Birds of Britain” teapot. Designed by Susan Williams-Ellis circa 1978, this beautiful piece features vibrant illustrations of a hoopoe and a roller bird. A must-have for collectors of Portmeirion or bird enthusiasts alike.

• Height: 6.75 inches (approximately 17cm)
• Length (including spout and handle): 9 inches (approximately 23cm)
• Depth: 4.75 inches (approximately 12cm)

Condition:

This vintage teapot is in good condition with some signs of wear consistent with its age. There is some crazing present on the outside and inside of the pot, staining inside, and small chip to the spout (see photos). Despite these minor imperfections, it remains a beautiful and functional piece.

A Note About Portmeirion “Birds of Britain”:

The “Birds of Britain” range by Portmeirion is a celebration of British avian life, featuring a variety of colourful bird illustrations on tableware and other ceramics. This teapot, with its depiction of the hoopoe and roller, is a less common and therefore more collectible piece from the range.
