CREATING THE DESIGN
During our initial consultation, Linzie thought she might want to go for an Art Nouveau design inspired by a Nordic goddess called Freya, and incorporate tarot cards. We looked at many wallpaper designs to see if we could find “the one” but none quite fit the bill. Deciding to move away from the Art Nouveau theme, Linzie then focused on the colour of the wallpaper, favouring bright, bold pinks. After many hours of searching, Linzie found a gorgeous wallpaper that she was immediately drawn to called “Deadly Nightshade” from April Mawhinney.
While looking for the perfect wallpaper, I was searching for an unusual and eye-catching cocktail cabinet and as soon as I saw this one, I knew Linzie would love it – the grain on the front looked (to me, at least) like a woman with flowing hair!
As part of my commission service, I kept in constant communication with Linzie and sent her pictures of the progress so she could see the cocktail cabinet come to life. Linzie and I had a final reveal video call to ensure that Linzie was happy with everything, before it was collected by the courier for delivery.
